Time is slipping away as it feels like just yesterday we boarded the plane in Manila to head back “home” to Grants Pass. We went to the Philippines as a family of three, had a baby and then returned to the USA as a family of three. Every day it is becoming easier to deal with the emotions of losing our second son Rowen Liberty but even as I write this my eyes have tears in them. I am reminded that we are indeed here today and possibly gone tomorrow. It is incumbent on all Christians to share the gospel with those who are living in darkness and give them a hope for tomorrow. Join me today in “declaring His glory among the nations.”
Let me update you all on what we have been doing and what our plans look like.
Since returning to the USA at the end of April we have been quite busy. In May we flew to the TCM office in Indianapolis, IN, where we met with the board and were accepted as missionary candidates. After visiting friends and family we made the 34 hour trip back to Oregon in a TCM car and got settled down in my parents house. The months of June, July and August have been full of family reunions, friends, recuperation, planning and serving in Grace Bible Church in Grants Pass. In the meantime, we were officially accepted as full term missionaries to South Africa. We head back the Philippines at the end of May to attend GTCM, an intensive two month missionary training course. Then we will fly straight to Johannesburg, SA, where we will work for the next 2 1/2 years or so. Our schedule will be crazy but we know the Lord goes with us and before us.
We are enjoying the last rays of summer as we look forward to the missionary conferences this fall. This website is intended to keep our support team up to date on what we are doing and how you can be praying for us.
Please keep us in your prayers as we continue through the grieving process while focusing on our overall purpose, which is to speak the love of God to the world. A glorious life after death is only possible by accepting Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. We must speak up to those who are living without the same hope that we have.
We love each one of you. We continue to pray for you and physical arms of Jesus through the people of God to give you hugs and love. Praying for your traveling safety and hope to see you before you begin your journey to the mission field.
All our love,
Aunt Beth & Uncle Joe 💖 💖 💖
Thanks for the update. You are in our regular prayers as you raise up your missionary team. May God always be with you here in the US and on to South Africa.
I know the Lord will give you His comfort and bless you as you continue to submit to his will and leading.
